Eminent jurist, author and influential activist, in the public interest
(To be followed by a discussion period)
Sometimes, we are sold a bill of goods by our governments, who enact legislation in favour of corporations, rather than citizens. “The Security & Prosperity Partnership” (SPP) between Canada, the United States & Mexico, is one example of such a travesty. This agreement, we are told is supposed to harmonize our policies with those of the United Stares, to secure our borders and facilitate trade transactions. However, the reality is much more sinister. Suffice it to say that the agreement was negotiated in secret, behind closed doors. Only representatives of a few select Corporations were privy to these negotiations. Neither the citizens, nor their elected representatives were allowed inside the meetings, held at Montebello, last summer. Come and find out more about this sinister agreement that will destroy our caring, compassionate society, as we know it today.
